- Communicate effectively with junior developers and business analysts/project leads
- Mentor junior team members and to provide technical leadership
- Designing and writing code under direction of business analysts and project leads
- Diagnosing defects and creating patches
- Creating and executing unit tests
- Reviewing code written by peers
- Adhering to agreed development standards and procedures

Qualifications:
Mandatory skills:
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Java/J2EE (primarily JSP, JDBC, Servlets)
- Good communication skills in both oral and written English.
- Full development lifecycle experience
- Strong understanding of best practice development and design patterns
- Should demonstrate good judgment regarding issues of code design and development
- hands-on experience on Struts, Spring and Hibernate
- Experienced in SQL server 2000/2005
- Experienced in SQL
- Experienced in HTML/Java script
- Windows XP
Desirable Skills:
- Familiar with UML
- Familiar with best practice development (design patterns etc.)
- Tomcat 5
- Eclipse
- XML and XSLT
- XFire and Java web services (for integration specialism)
- Microsoft SQL Server DTS/Integration Services (for BI specialism)
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 (for BI specialism)
- MDX (for BI specialism)
- Familiar with Manufacturing Execution System
