TRAINEE TECHNICIAN / TECHNICIAN (OPERATOR)

General Duties
This position works under the supervisor of the shift supervisor to ensure that all operations o the terminal are carried out in a correct, safe and efficient manner.


Responsibilities
. To carry out jobs in consultation with the shift supervisor.
. To ensure that all operations are conducted according to proper procedures in the terminal.
. (Petroleum) Responsible to line up systems for operations; sample/measure ship/shore tanks; loading master duties such as dock/undock vessels, ship/shore conference; settle shipping documents; operate the boiler and T.P.I; do first line maintenance such as strainer cleaning, blind/de-blinding work; check equipment (tanks, pipeline, pump, etc.) for abnormalities; mogas leading operation; panel man duties such as monitor and control of all ongoing operations, handling phone calls, preparation of all necessary documentation.
. (Chemical) Responsible to line up systems for operations; sample / measure ship / shore tanks; loading master duties such as dock/undock vessels, ship / shore conference; settle shipping documents; operate the flare and wastewater system; do first line maintenance such as strainer cleaning, blind /.de-blinding work; check equipment (tanks, pipeline, pump, etc.) for abnormalities; panel man duties such as monitor and control of all ongoing operations, handling phone calls, preparation of all necessary documentation.
5. To check and ensure that contractors are observing safety rules and regulations in the terminal.
. To maintain good housekeeping and good work practices in the terminal.
. To carry out routine patrolling of the terminal.
. To attend regular fire-fighting training / Hazmat pollution fighting training.
. To perform the duties of auxiliary fireman during emergency.
. To assist in oil / chemical pollution related emergency.
. Responsible for on-the-job safety at all times.

Requirement
. 1-2 years of experience in the oil or petrochemical industry
. Good interpersonal and communication skills
. Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft applications
. Team player, responsible and safety conscious
. Must be able to work shift duties
