| Reports to (Title):AP Sourcing Leader
Purpose:
Development and communication of the commodity vision throughout the organization. Plans, organizes, and controls strategic activities surrounding the assigned commodities for Sensing and Control business. Works closely with global commodity teams as they work to implement Supply Chain Management strategy to achieve lowest total costs, effective asset management, continuous quality improvement, delivery, and cycle time performance improvement and early supplier involvement in product development. It is also the important function hub to support production transition, material productivity and sourcing initiatives in the region.
Education:
College degree, preferably a MBA in Business or Engineering related field and 5-7 years Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing/ Engineering experience required.
CPM and/or APICs certification a definite plus.
Experience:
Strong commodity knowledge, 5 years experience in commodity management
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent teaming abilities
Strong communication and leadership skills dealing with a global cross-functional team
Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrixed organizational environment
Experience implementing rapid replenishment programs (VMI or consignment programs)
Quick learning curve.
